Domain Registration – What is Protected Registration?

Protected Registration is a premium service you can apply to many of the domain names you purchase or already registered with us. The service helps ensure that you retain registration of your domain name, regardless of expiration dates or attempts to transfer.

We offer full list of top level domains with cheap domains sales.

Domain names with protected registration will automatically renew. The renewal settings cannot be changed and the service cannot be canceled without the listed registrant submitting documentation.

With Protected Registration, you receive:

  • Domain Name Ownership Protection — Protects you from losing your domain name if you forget to renew it, or if we can’t charge your credit card. If you fail to renew your domain name, we hold it for up to one year. During that time, your domain name is in an inactive, protected status with a parked page. We do not keep your related services running if your domain name renewal lapses. To rescue the domain name during the protected status period, you must pay any renewal fees for your domain name and Protected Registration.
  • Deadbolt Transfer Protection — Puts your domain name on lockdown, making it impossible for any inadvertent, accidental, or malicious transfer. Unlike regular domain name locking, which occurs at the registry level, Deadbolt Transfer Protection offers an even higher level of security — we lock your domain name in your account.
  • Ownership Protection Reports — Domain name status report and updates within your account to help you keep track of vital domain name information.

Before you purchase Protected Registration, ensure that the registrant contact for your domain name has a valid email address in the Whois database. You must have access to the registrant email address to make future changes to your domain name or Protected Registration service. For more information.

Protected Registration is not available for some domain names. These are primarily country-code extensions (ccTLDs).

Protect Your Brand Name by Registering More Than One Domain Name

It is a good idea about registering more than one domain name to protect your brand and to promote your online business. Registering and using multiple domains names is great for building your business, protecting your brand name, and creating a dynamic online identity.

When you register multiple domain names, you can:

  • Keep your competition from registering a similar domain name drawing customers to them instead of you
  • Promote the different products and services you offer
  • Drive more traffic to your website
  • Enjoy more opportunities to market to — and be listed in — search engines
  • Create distinct advertising strategies reaching different target markets
  • Provide customers more ways to find you when searching the Internet
  • Capture common misspellings of your domain name, instead of sending visitors to an error page
  • Protect your brand and online identity

We offer cheap domain registration plus “Get all … and Save” option for each time you search and register domains. With  “Get all … and Save”, you can save up to over 30% domain registration cost.

Domain Registration and “How much is my Domain Name worth?”

The value of a domain registration could be based on many criteria to value it and it could be change from time to time. We would like to point out 4 main  criteria that we think that they are the key value to valuate the domain.

Characters – The shorter the better!
There is no doubt about it. Short names are better than long names. They are generally easier to remember, spell, and are more impactful.

Commerce
Ultimately, the value of a Domain Name is driven by its ability to deliver traffic and revenue to a business (good keyword domain). This determines how much a company would pay for a Domain Name. The size of the business opportunity most apparent for the name drives the value. For example, house.com is more valuable than smoking.com. Names that are simple, very well-known phrases or words without an obvious business use are also valuable since these can be easily branded. An example of such a name is Monster.com.

Names with potential trademark issues are generally worthless. People who spend good money on names that are the trademark of a company are wasting their time and money because these companies are going after these owners. They must do this under most countries’ trademark rules or they risk losing their trademarks. Think about that before you register IPhone.abc in a new registry.

Names that are variants or related to the most used version of the name in commerce are also diminished in value. For example, phone.com is more valuable than cellphone.com and nice.com is more valuable than verynice.com.

.Com domain
Many people want to live in exclusive Beverly Hills, New York City, Paris, Singapore or Hong Kong. That’s what drives up value. On the Internet, everyone wants to live in the .Com neighborhood. It’s the exclusive top level domain that says “I’ve been in this business a long time, I am a serious player, and I know what I’m doing.” It’s the instant branding that drives up the value, pure and simple, because all the other top-level domains generally work just as well.

Think about it, get a great idea and do it! A cheap domain registration today could make a million tomorrow!

About Country Code Top-Level Domains (ccTLD) & Top-level domains (TLD)

What Are Country Code Top-Level Domains (ccTLD)?

Country-code TLDs (ccTLDs) represent specific geographic locations.

Domain registration example: .mx represents Mexico and .eu represents the European Union. Some ccTLDs have residency restrictions. For example, .eu requires registrants to live or be located in a country belonging to the European Union. Other ccTLDs, like the ccTLD .it representing Italy, allow anyone to register them, but require a trustee service if the registrant is not located in a specified country or region. Finally, there are ccTLDs that can be registered by anyone — .co representing Colombia, for example, has no residency requirements at all.

What Are Top-level domains (TLD)?

A top-level domain (TLD) is the part of the domain name located to the right of the dot (” . “). The most common TLDs are .com, .net, and .org. Some others are .biz, .info, and .ws. These common TLDs all have certain guidelines, but are generally available to any registrant, anywhere in the world.

There are also restricted top-level domains (rTLDs), like .aero, .biz, .edu, .mil, .museum, .name, and .pro, that require the registrant to represent a certain type of entity, or to belong to a certain community. For example, the .name TLD is reserved for individuals, and .edu is reserved for educational entities.

We offer cheap domain registration and domain transfer for most of ccTLDs and TLD with free extras.
