Domain Registration – Cancel Protected Registration?

If you want to remove Protected Registration from your domain name, how you do so depends on how long ago you purchased it:

Purchased more than 5 days ago

Before you can remove Protected Registration, you will need to enable two-step verification in your account if you haven’t done so already. Once you enable it, you will need to wait 72 hours before you can cancel Protected Registration.

To cancel Protected Registration (after 72 hours):

1. Log in to your LuckyRegister account.
2. Next to Domains, click Manage.
3. How you cancel Protected Registration will depend on the view of your account. You’ll need to either follow the instructions for Card View or List View below.

Card View

In Card View, your account will look something like this:

1. 1. Select the domain name you want to use, click (Settings) and select Domain Settings.
   2. Under Additional Settings, click the text link to remove Protected Registration:

1. 1. Once you click the text link, the Remove Protected Registration button appears:

1. 1. If you haven’t logged into your account recently, you’ll be prompted to enter a 6-digit verification code you’ll receive as part of your two-step verification process:

1. 1. You’ll receive the following notice:

List View

In List View, your account will look something like this:

1. 1. Next to the domain you want to use, under the Privacy column, hover over the green arrow until the word Manage appears, and click on it:

1. 1. Under Additional Settings, click the text link to remove Protected Registration:

1. 1. If you haven’t logged into your account recently, you’ll be prompted to enter a 6-digit verification code you’ll receive as part of your two-step verification process:
